Batman is a fictional superhero from DC Comics that was created in 1939. He is the alter ego of Bruce Wayne, known as a playboy, a philanthropist and also the owner of Wayne Enterprises, one of Gotham City’s richest companies. Batman is the result of Bruce witnessing the murder of his parents during his early childhood. He sworn vengeance against all criminals in search of justice, trained himself and created his bat inspired persona to fight crime.
Unlike other superheroes, Batman does not possess inhuman superpowers. He is a peerless martial artist, with a superior intellect and vast wealth that affords him an extraordinary arsenal of weapons and equipment, like the Batmobile.
With an assorted group of allies, like his butler Alfred, his sidekick Robin and police commissioner Jim Gordon, he fights the ragtag group of villains comprised by Penguin, Dr. Cold, Catwoman and most prominently, his nemesis, the Joker.
Batman has had a profound impact on our culture due to the many renditions that have been done after the comic stories. Numerous animated series, movies and spin-offs have made his legend known to most people.
Due to its legacy, it is no surprise that Batman tattoos are such a huge trend and that tons of people decide to get them. Check out our list for some amazing examples!
