When does Pennywise appear?

Pennywise appears whenever It senses children, who represent its main food source. At these times, It appears as an extra-dimensional, flying creature with large eyes and a mouth filled with shark-like teeth. In a spider-like manner, It then reaches into their mouths to devour them whole. However, when it comes across adults or teenagers (whom it refers to as biguns), It has been known to take on a more human form in order to manipulate them. The form It takes is that of Georgie Denbrough’s father Bill, who was killed by his own son decades earlier due to his son’s fear of clowns after being tormented by one named Mr. Bobo.
